About us.....
Sandbeck Farm Childcare was set up by myself to provide professional, high quality childcare where children are looked after by myself, Asami and Becky in a home from home environment. After having our first two children we began to look for a property that we could run a childcare annex from in a rural environment. We can look after 9 children each day and have ratios of 1:3 under age 5. This provides a great social dynamic for the children and the older and younger children learn so much from being together in one large safe space.

Early Years Foundation Stage

"Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfill their potential.....A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right"
Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS specifies requirements for learning and development and for safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. Sandbeck Farm Childcare will promote the learning and development of all children using the EYFS. The seven areas of learning include the three prime areas: communication and language, physical development and personal and social development. These prime areas will be strengthened and applied through four specific areas: literacy, mathematics, understanding of the world and expressive arts and design. Ongoing assessment of each child will be an integral part of the learning and development process and will be used to shape learning experiences for each child. When a child reaches Age 2 progress will be reviewed and 'The Progress Check at Aged 2' will be completed and shared with parents.
